About the practice

A chartered accountancy practice built around the MMR owner-managed business

We have been filing for Mumbai businesses since 2012 — incorporations, GST and income tax, books and payroll, audit, and the ROC calendar that owners forget until a penalty arrives. The work is delivered remotely across the metropolitan region, with an in-person meeting arranged when a matter genuinely needs one.

What we do

7 practice areas, one accountable team

Compliance work fails at the joins — a GST registration that does not match the incorporation address, payroll that ignores a professional tax slab, an audit that finds last year's books were never closed. Keeping these under one roof is the point of the practice, not a cross-sell.

All 44 services

Formation and structuring

Name reservation, DSC and DIN, MOA/AOA drafting and the SPICe+ or FiLLiP filing — then the post-incorporation items owners usually discover late: share certificates, first board meeting, auditor appointment and the opening bank mandate. The structure is discussed before anything is filed.

GST and income tax

Registration with the correct HSN/SAC codes and places of business, monthly or quarterly returns reconciled against GSTR-2B rather than against your own sales register alone, TDS returns with Form 16/16A, and ITR for proprietors, firms, companies, salaried individuals and NRIs.

Books, payroll and reporting

Bookkeeping in Tally, Zoho Books or QuickBooks with monthly bank reconciliation; payroll covering PF, ESIC, professional tax and salary TDS; and an MIS pack that shows margin and cash position while the quarter is still open enough to act on.

Audit and assurance

Statutory, tax, internal and stock audits planned around your own closing calendar. Observations are shared as they come up, so corrections happen during fieldwork instead of arriving as a surprise in the signed report.

ROC and secretarial

AOC-4, MGT-7, ADT-1, DPT-3 and DIR-3 KYC tracked on dated reminders, plus minutes, statutory registers and the event-based filings triggered when directors, registered office, capital or objects change.

Licences and registrations

Udyam, Gumasta, IEC, FSSAI, PF/ESIC and trademark applications handled together at setup, with the renewal dates recorded — so licences are not collected one crisis at a time.

Advisory and virtual CFO

Entity and ESOP decisions, DPIIT recognition, financial models, registered-valuer reports and a monthly CFO review rhythm for founders who need the numbers questioned more often than once a year.

How we work

What happens between your first call and your first filing

Most complaints about accountants are about process, not technique: no written scope, surprise invoices, filings submitted without the client seeing them. This is the sequence we follow on every engagement, from a one-off ITR to a monthly retainer.

  1. 1

First call with a chartered accountant

Not a sales desk. We ask what the entity is, what the turnover looks like, which states you are registered in and what has already been filed. If the work sits outside what we do, we say so on that call.

  2. 2

Written scope and a fixed quote

You receive the deliverables named individually, what is excluded, which government fees are payable separately, and the documents we need with the date we need them by. The fee is agreed before work begins.

  3. 3

    One document checklist

A single list instead of scattered requests. Share by WhatsApp, email or a folder you control. Missing items are flagged early in the cycle, not on the due date.

  4. 4

    Preparation, then your review

Computations, returns and filings go to you with the supporting working attached, so you can see how a figure was arrived at and raise questions before anything is submitted in your name.

  5. 5

Filing and proof back to you

We file, then return the acknowledgement, challan and certificate. Every reference number stays on the engagement record so last year's filing can be produced without a search.

  6. 6

    A calendar you can see

Recurring work — GST, TDS, payroll, ROC, renewals — sits on a due-date calendar with reminders ahead of each deadline, so compliance does not depend on anyone remembering it.

If we are not the right fit, we say so first

Some matters need a different specialist — litigation before a tribunal, insolvency proceedings, or an audit that requires a specific empanelment. We will tell you on the first call rather than after an invoice, and point you towards the kind of professional who handles it.

What you can hold us to

  • A qualified chartered accountant owns your file and is the person you speak to.
  • Scope and fee in writing before work starts; government fees quoted separately at actuals.
  • Nothing is filed in your name until you have seen the working behind it.
  • Acknowledgements, challans and certificates come back to you after every filing.

Who we serve

Four kinds of client, four different compliance rhythms

A trading firm in Bhiwandi and a SaaS startup in Lower Parel both need GST returns, but almost nothing else about their calendar is the same. We scope the engagement around the rhythm your business actually runs on.

Founders and early-stage startups

Structure choice before incorporation, DPIIT recognition, founder and ESOP paperwork, then a deliberately light monthly pack while revenue is still small — so compliance cost tracks the stage you are at.

SMEs, traders and manufacturers

Multi-state GST and e-way bill discipline, stock and statutory audit, payroll across locations, and the MSME registration that changes how banks price credit and how late payments are enforced.

Professionals, salaried people and NRIs

Presumptive taxation versus full books, old versus new regime compared on your actual numbers, capital gains on Mumbai property, lower-deduction applications and 15CA/15CB for repatriation.

Subsidiaries and foreign-owned entities

FDI route checks, FC-GPR and FEMA reporting, controllership and a close calendar in the parent's reporting format, with audit coordination that accounts for a different time zone.

Choosing a structure: the comparison we run before incorporating

These are the three structures we are asked about most. The table covers the characteristics that change your recurring cost and your options later — not every legal difference between them.

 ProprietorshipLLPPrivate Limited

Ownership transferBusiness assets transfer individuallyBy amending the LLP agreementBy share transfer, without disturbing contracts
Usually suitsSingle-owner shops, freelancers and small tradersProfessional firms, consultancies and family businessesTeams hiring at scale or planning to raise capital

A one-time decision with a recurring bill

Structure choice is usually made in a week and paid for every year after. Before filing, we put the annual compliance cost of each option next to your expected turnover, headcount and funding plans — because converting later means fresh filings, fresh registrations and moving contracts, bank mandates and licences across. Timelines and fees shown above are indicative; government fees are additional and quoted at actuals.

Coverage

350 localities across 4 regions of MMR

We maintain a local page for every locality we serve, because the practical questions differ by belt — ward offices and registered-office proof in the island city, MIDC and e-way bill volumes in Thane and Taloja, CIDCO documentation in Navi Mumbai. These are service areas, not branch offices: work is handled remotely, with a visit arranged when a matter genuinely needs one.

Fees, data and records

How we price work, and what happens to your information

Two things decide whether a CA relationship lasts: whether the invoice matches the quote, and whether you can walk away with your own records. Both are set out before you engage us, not discovered afterwards.

Engagement terms at a glance

Pricing model
Fixed fee per engagement, or a monthly retainer for recurring work such as bookkeeping, returns and payroll. Time-based billing only where scope genuinely cannot be defined in advance, and then with a ceiling agreed first.
Government fees
Stamp duty, portal charges and statutory fees are quoted separately and billed at actuals, with the challan or receipt shared with you.
Scope changes
Correcting our own error carries no fee. Re-filing caused by information that arrives late or changes after preparation is quoted before we take it up.
Who you deal with
The chartered accountant on your engagement, by phone, email or WhatsApp during working hours — not a ticket queue.
Response time
Queries answered within one working day. Statutory due dates are tracked on our side regardless of whether you remind us.
Documents and data
Shared only with the team members working on your file and with the department or portal the filing is actually made to. Never used for marketing, never sold.
Portal access
You keep ownership of your GST, income tax and MCA credentials. We ask for access, not control, and your registered email and mobile stay yours.
Your records
Books, returns, working papers and acknowledgements belong to you and can be exported in full at any point, not only at year end.
If you leave
You receive your records and filing history, login ownership is confirmed back to you, and anything pending is listed in writing so the next adviser can pick it up without re-doing work.
Working hours
Mon–Sat, 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM

Always named in the quote

  • Each filing or deliverable, listed individually rather than as “compliance support”
  • The department or portal the filing is made to
  • Documents we need from you, and the date we need them by
  • Who signs what, and at which stage
  • What we do, at our cost, if a deadline slips on our side

Never bundled in silently

  • Government fees, stamp duty and portal charges — always at actuals
  • Work for a different entity, financial year or state registration
  • Representation at a hearing or a departmental visit
  • Reconstructing prior-year books that we did not prepare
  • Any outcome that depends on a regulator's discretion

What no accountant can promise you

No firm can guarantee an approval, a refund amount, a registration date, or how an officer will treat a notice. Timelines quoted across this site are typical ranges from our own files; statutory processing and portal queues sit outside anyone's control. If a provider guarantees an outcome, ask them in writing what happens when it does not arrive.

Questions before hiring

What owners ask us first

If something here is still unclear, ask it on the first call — it costs nothing and tells you more than a brochure will.

What kind of businesses do you work with?+

Mostly owner-managed businesses in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region: proprietorships and retail shops, LLPs and professional firms, private limited companies, startups preparing to raise, and Indian subsidiaries of foreign parents. We also file for salaried individuals and NRIs with income or property in India. Across 44 services in 7 practice areas, the common thread is an owner who wants the compliance calendar handled without chasing it every month.

Do I have to meet in person?+

No. Incorporation, GST, income tax, TDS, ROC and payroll work is handled remotely — documents by WhatsApp, email or a shared folder, and e-signing wherever the portal allows it. We arrange an in-person meeting when a matter genuinely needs one, such as a departmental hearing or a stock verification.

How do you price your work?+

Fixed fee per engagement, or a monthly retainer for recurring work like bookkeeping, GST returns and payroll. Government fees, stamp duty and portal charges are quoted separately and billed at actuals with the challan shared. You get the scope and the fee in writing before work starts, and anything outside that scope is quoted before we take it up.

Which areas of Mumbai do you cover?+

We work with clients across 4 regions — Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and Panvel — covering 350 localities, from Fort and Lower Parel through Thane and Vashi to Kharghar and Panvel. These are service areas, not branch offices: the work is handled from our Mumbai office and delivered remotely, with a site visit arranged when one is actually required.

Who will actually handle my filings?+

A qualified chartered accountant owns your engagement and is the person you speak to. Preparation work is done by the accounting team under that review. Returns and filings are sent to you with the supporting working before submission, and the acknowledgement comes back to you after.

Can you take over from my current accountant?+

Yes, and it is a common way to start. We review recent filings and books, list what is pending, mis-stated or missing, and agree what gets corrected before the next due date rather than fixing everything at once. You keep ownership of your portal logins throughout, and if the engagement ever ends, your records and filing history go back to you.
