The short version
- An enquiry form is the only thing on this site that asks you for personal data. There is no login, no account and no payment on this site.
- What you type is used for one purpose — so a chartered accountant can answer that enquiry and call you back. It is not sold and not added to a marketing list.
- That processing runs on your consent, given by ticking the box on the form. You can withdraw it at any time, as easily as you gave it, by emailing us.
- You can ask us for a summary of what we hold about you, have it corrected or completed, or have it erased.
- Something wrong? Email [email protected] and we will deal with it. If we do not, you can take the complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
This page is general information about how this website handles personal data. It is not legal advice, and it is not advice on your own obligations under the Act.
Who is responsible for your data
The Data Fiduciary behind this site, and how to reach it.
The Data Fiduciary for this website — the person who decides what personal data is collected here and why — is the chartered accountancy practice trading as CA Services Mumbai, in practice since 2012 and serving Mumbai and the surrounding Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Everywhere below, “we” means that practice and “you” means the Data Principal: the person the data is about.
How to reach us about data, in one place:
- Email — [email protected]. This is the route for every request and every grievance under this notice.
- Phone — +91 96731 98867, during Mon–Sat, 9:30 AM – 7:30 PM.
We publish no postal address, and this website never asks you for yours. Anything you would otherwise have posted should come by email. If you would rather speak to someone, call the number above and then send the request in writing so there is a record of what you asked for and when.
No Data Protection Officer
We have not appointed one, and we are not stating that one is required of us. The Act requires a Data Protection Officer only of a Significant Data Fiduciary — an entity the Central Government notifies as such under section 10. No such notification applies to this practice so far as we are aware. If that ever changes, the officer’s name and contact details will be published in this section. Until then a grievance goes to the email above and is handled by the practice itself.
What we collect, and the purpose of each item
Every field an enquiry sends, and why it is asked for.
One thing on this site asks you for personal data: the enquiry form. It appears in three places — beside the content on a page, as a pop-up when you ask for a consultation, and as the on-site assistant that asks the same questions one at a time in a chat shape. All three collect the same items, for the same purpose, and send them to the same place.
What you type, and the purpose of each item
- Your name — required
- So the chartered accountant who calls knows who to ask for. Purpose: answering your enquiry.
- Your mobile number — required
- So we can call you back about what you asked. Purpose: arranging and making that call back.
- Your email address — optional
- Only if you give it. Used to send the fee quote or the answer in writing instead of, or as well as, calling. Leave it blank and we will not have it.
- The service you picked — optional
- So the enquiry reaches someone who does that work, and so the quote is for the right thing.
- Your locality — optional
- So the enquiry goes to whoever covers that part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. A locality name, not an address — we never ask you for your address.
- Your note or question — optional
- Whatever you choose to write, used to prepare for the call. Please do not put a PAN, an Aadhaar number, a bank detail or a password in it — this form does not need any of them.
Sent with it, but not typed by you
So that the list above is complete rather than flattering, here is everything else that travels with a submission.
- Which form you used
- A short label — "page-form", "cta-dialog" or "chat" — so we know whether the enquiry came from a page form, the pop-up or the on-site assistant.
- The path of the page you were on
- For example /services/gst-registration. The path only: never the full web address, and never anything after a question mark in it. It tells us which page prompted the enquiry.
- A hidden anti-spam field
- An empty box you never see. Real visitors leave it empty; automated submissions fill it in, and those are dropped. It holds no personal data.
- A public project identifier
- A fixed code that tells the forms provider which website the enquiry came from. It is not about you and it is not secret — on a static site every such value ships inside the page.
- What any web request carries
- Like every request on the internet, your submission reaches our forms provider with your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and the time attached. We do not ask for them, we do not hold them ourselves, and we have no way to switch them off — they are how the connection works.
What this site never collects
- No password, no account and no login — there is nothing on this site to sign in to.
- No card, UPI or bank detail. No payment is taken on this site, so none is asked for and none can be stored.
- No PAN, Aadhaar number, GSTIN or date of birth is asked for by any form here.
- No document or file upload.
- No location from your device. The locality field is a name you pick from a list or type yourself; your browser is never asked for GPS permission.
- No advertising, remarketing or social-media pixel of any kind, for anyone, at any time.
The boxes that are not enquiry forms
The service finder, and the search and filter boxes on the services, locations and resources pages, all run entirely inside your browser. What you type is matched against a catalogue that ships inside the page itself. It is not sent anywhere, we never see it, and no consent is needed for it because no personal data leaves your device.
Keep the sensitive documents off the form
Consent, and withdrawing it
What you agreed to, how narrow it is, and how to take it back.
Our processing of your enquiry rests on your consent and on nothing else. You give it by ticking the box on the form before you submit it. The box is never pre-ticked, and we never treat the act of submitting as agreement on its own. On the page form and the pop-up the browser itself refuses to send while the box is unticked, so that holds even with JavaScript switched off. In the on-site assistant the same gate sits at the review step: it shows you exactly what will be sent, and nothing is sent until you have actively chosen “Yes — contact me about this enquiry”.
The wording you agree to is this, verbatim:
I agree that CA Services Mumbai may use these details to answer this enquiry and call me back, and for nothing else. I can withdraw this at any time by emailing [email protected] — see the privacy notice.
That consent is limited to the purpose named in it. It is not agreement to be added to a mailing list, to be called about something else, or to have your number passed to anyone for their own use. If we ever want to use your details for a new purpose, we have to ask you again — a notice cannot take consent on its own.
Withdrawing it
You can withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing is deliberately no harder than giving it was: one email to [email protected] saying you withdraw it. You do not have to give a reason, fill in a form, or use any particular words. We stop using your enquiry, and we erase it unless another law requires us to keep it.
Withdrawal applies from the moment you ask. It does not undo processing that already happened lawfully while your consent was in force — a call we had already made, or a quote we had already emailed, stands as a thing that happened. The Act does not require it to be unwound, and we are not going to imply that it can be.
What we do not keep
We do not keep a separate timestamped log of the tick itself. This is a static site with no server of ours in the path, so a record of that kind cannot be written reliably for every visitor, and a consent log that exists for some people and not others would be worse than none. What we hold is the enquiry you chose to send, and this published notice of what ticking the box meant.
Who else handles it
The forms provider, the host, and Google if you allow measurement.
- Our forms provider — io.irpr.network
- Every enquiry from every form on this site is posted over HTTPS to this operator, which receives it and passes it on to us. Besides us it is the only party that necessarily sees your enquiry. It acts as a Data Processor on our instructions and has no business using your details for its own purposes. Abuse protection for the endpoint — rate limiting, origin checks, spam filtering — also sits with it rather than with code we ship, because a static site has nowhere else to put it.
- Our hosting provider
- This site is published as static files and served by a hosting provider. Web servers ordinarily record request details, including an IP address, in access logs. That logging belongs to the provider, is not something this site configures, and we do not read it.
- Google — only if you accept measurement
- Google Analytics 4, described in the section above. Google acts as our processor for measurement and processes that data on its own infrastructure, which may be outside India. Decline, and nothing reaches Google.
- WhatsApp or your phone network — only if you tap those buttons
- The WhatsApp and Call buttons hand you over to those apps. From that point the conversation runs through Meta's service or your telecom operator under their terms, not through this website. We see what you send us there, the same as any message.
- Nobody else
- Your enquiry is not sold, rented, traded as a lead, or shared with other advisers, brokers or marketers. There is no other recipient.
The contract we owe you, stated honestly
Section 8(2) of the Act lets a Data Fiduciary involve a Data Processor only under a contract. Putting that contract in writing with our forms provider, covering what it retains and for how long, is an outstanding item for us. We would rather say so on this page than imply a document we cannot show you. What is described above is how the arrangement works today, read from the code that runs this site.
Data leaving India
The Act permits personal data to be transferred outside India except to a country the Central Government restricts by notification under section 16. We do not choose the country in which Google processes measurement data, and we do not deliberately send any part of your enquiry outside India ourselves.
How long we keep it
Erased when the purpose ends — unless tax or company law says otherwise.
The rule is the one the Act sets: your enquiry is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose you gave it for, and is then erased. That is a duty on us, not a courtesy.
If you do not become a client
Because this site keeps no database of its own, your enquiry lives with our forms provider and in the practice’s own mailbox. We have not published a fixed number of months, because no schedule has been set yet and inventing one here would be worse than admitting it. Two things follow, and both are better than a number: ask us and we will tell you exactly what is held about your enquiry and where, and ask us to erase it and we will, without waiting for any schedule.
If you do become a client
A professional engagement creates a separate obligation that has nothing to do with your consent. Income-tax and GST law, the Companies Act, and the professional standards that apply to a chartered accountant’s working papers all require certain records to be kept for set periods. Where that applies, we keep those records because the law requires it, and the Act does not require erasure of personal data that must be retained to comply with another law. What is kept, and for how long, belongs in your engagement letter rather than in this notice.
How it is protected
What we actually do, and what we do not claim.
What we actually do
- The site is served over HTTPS, and every enquiry is posted over HTTPS. Your browser shows you that padlock; it is not a claim you have to take on trust from us.
- A submission is sent without cookies or credentials attached, so nothing of yours from another site travels with it.
- Nothing you type is written to your browser’s storage, and no enquiry is logged to the browser console.
- Each field is validated before anything is sent, and a hidden anti-spam field keeps automated submissions out.
- No password, card number or bank detail is collected anywhere on this site, so there is none of it here to lose.
What we do not claim
This site has not been through a security audit. It holds no certification. We name no encryption standard beyond the HTTPS your browser can verify for itself, and we do not describe our safeguards as “bank-grade” or anything of that sort. All of that would be easy to write and untrue, and a notice that overstates its own security is not worth reading.
If something goes wrong
If a personal data breach affecting your enquiry comes to our notice, the Act requires us to inform you and the Data Protection Board of India. We will, and we will tell you what was affected rather than describe it as a “security incident” and leave it there.
Your rights as a Data Principal
Access, correction, erasure, grievance and nomination.
- A summary of your data — section 11
- Ask us and we will tell you what personal data of yours we hold, what we are doing with it, and the identity of any other Data Fiduciary or Data Processor it has been shared with, together with a description of what was shared.
- Correction, completion, updating and erasure — section 12
- You can have an inaccurate detail corrected, an incomplete one completed, an out-of-date one updated, and the whole enquiry erased. We erase unless we are required by another law to keep it — see how long we keep it, below.
- Grievance redressal — section 13
- You can complain to us about anything we do, or fail to do, with your personal data, and we have to respond. You do not need to go to the Board first.
- Nomination — section 14
- You can nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf if you die or become unable to exercise them yourself. Email us the nominee's name and a contact detail and we will record it against your enquiry.
These rights are yours whether or not you ever become a client, and exercising one costs nothing. Using one of them is also not treated as a complaint: asking what we hold is an ordinary request, and we would rather you asked.
How to exercise a right
One email, what to put in it, and when we reply.
There is one route, and it is deliberately short. Email [email protected] with “DPDP request” in the subject line.
Tell us, in your own words:
- Which right you are using — a summary of what we hold, a correction, an erasure, a grievance, or a nomination.
- The mobile number or the email address you used on the form, so we can find the right enquiry. Without one of those we may not be able to identify your data at all.
- For a correction: what is wrong, and what it should say.
- For a nomination: your nominee’s name and one contact detail for them.
We may ask you one question to check that you are the person the enquiry came from. We will not ask you to send an identity document for this, and you should not send one.
We aim to answer within 7 working days, and we commit to answering within 30 days. If a request needs longer than that, we will tell you why before the 30 days is up rather than let it lapse in silence.
One click, if that is easier
Grievance redressal and the Data Protection Board
Come to us first; the Board is the step after that.
Section 13 of the Act gives you a right to grievance redressal, and it is meant to be used before you go anywhere else. Come to us first: email [email protected] with “Grievance” in the subject line, and say what we did, or failed to do, with your personal data. You do not need a lawyer and you do not need to use any legal wording.
Grievances are handled by the practice itself. No separate grievance officer has been appointed and no Data Protection Officer is required of us, for the reasons set out in who is responsible for your data. You will get a reply within 30 days, and it will say what we are doing about it.
If we do not resolve it
Once you have exhausted the route above, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India, which can inquire into a breach of the Act and impose penalties. We have not printed a link or an address for the Board here, because we will not point you at a channel we have not verified ourselves; look for the Board’s own official channel, or ask us and we will send you the current one. Nothing in this notice, and nothing in our terms of service, takes that right away from you.
Children and persons with a guardian
This site is not for under-18s, and nothing here tracks them.
This site is about company formation, tax and accounting. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18. Where the Act requires it, a child’s personal data is processed only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and the same applies to a person with a disability who has a lawful guardian.
We do no tracking, no behavioural monitoring and no targeted advertising directed at children. That is easy for us to say truthfully, because this site runs no advertising tags for anybody of any age.
A web form cannot verify how old someone is, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. We rely on you not entering a child’s details. If a child’s details have reached us, email [email protected] and we will erase them without asking you for a reason.
Your duties under the Act
The short list section 15 puts on you, not us.
Section 15 of the Act puts a short list of duties on the Data Principal as well. They matter here mostly because a wrong detail sends a call to the wrong person.
- Do not impersonate someone else when you send an enquiry or make a request to us.
- Do not hide material information when you give a detail that the law requires to be disclosed.
- Do not use a grievance or a complaint to the Board frivolously or falsely.
- When you ask us to correct or erase something, give us information that is verifiably authentic, so we change the right record.
Changes to this notice
How a change is dated, and what happens to consent already given.
When this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. That date is edited by hand rather than generated, so it tells you when the words last changed and not when the site was last rebuilt. Today it reads 18 October 2026.
If a change would widen what we do with your data beyond the purpose you consented to, we have to ask you for fresh consent. Publishing a new version of this page does not take it for us.
We do not keep earlier versions on the site. If you want to know what a particular paragraph used to say, ask us at [email protected] and we will tell you.
Short answers to the questions people actually ask
The same ground as above, in fewer words.
Do you sell my details, or pass them to other advisers?+
No. An enquiry is used to answer that enquiry. It is not sold, not rented, not traded for leads and not added to a marketing list. The only parties that handle it are the ones named in “Who else handles it” on this page, and they handle it because they have to for the enquiry to reach us.
How do I withdraw my consent?+
Email [email protected] and say you withdraw it. You do not have to explain why, and you do not have to use any particular form of words. We stop using your enquiry and erase it, unless a law requires us to keep it. It is deliberately no harder than ticking the box was.
Does withdrawing consent undo what you already did?+
No, and the Act does not require it to. A call we already made, or an email we already sent, happened lawfully while your consent was in force. Withdrawal stops anything further from that point.
I only called you. Does this notice apply?+
This notice covers what this website collects. A phone call or a WhatsApp message is not collected by the site — but the same purpose limit applies: we use what you tell us to answer what you asked, and the rights on this page are yours either way.
Can I read this notice in Hindi or Marathi?+
Yes. Section 5(3) of the Act gives you the option of the contents of this notice in English or any language in the Eighth Schedule to the Constitution. It is published here in English; email [email protected] and we will give you its contents in the Eighth Schedule language you ask for.
Do you use my enquiry to train an AI model?+
No. Your enquiry goes to the people who answer it and nowhere else. The on-site assistant looks like a chat but it is a fixed script with no model behind it — it cannot learn from what you type.
Still want to talk to a chartered accountant?
The enquiry form asks for a name, a mobile number and what you need. You tick the consent box, we call you back about that and nothing else, and you can have it erased whenever you like.
